About Terrie Terrie Lombardi's goal in painting is to create images that reflect both the beauty and dignity of her subjects. Many of her paintings present a close-up view of objects that are cropped or singled out. "Pastels and oils are the perfect solution for my rich use of expressive colors and shadows." Terrie was born and raised in Denver and has been painting for over 25 years.. Through her highly personal vision and signature technique, her work is characterized by her sensitive yet bravado approach. The intimate discoveries depicted in her subject matter are celebrated in her gutsy application of pastel or oil in rich, expressive color and shadows. She has studied at the Rocky Mountain College of Art and Design and the Art Students League of Denver. She has also participated in numerous workshops with instructors such as Tony Ortega, Carol Katchen, Quang Ho, Kang Cho, Albert Handell, Lorenzo Chavez, Doug Dawson, Desmond O'Hagen, and Kevin Weckbach. Terrie discovered Argentine Tango in 2006. Just as the dance has brought her new-found inspiration and passion, she hopes to fill her canvases with the same intrigue, color, beauty, depth, and richness. She is an active member of Tango Colorado and is happy to have begun a new era in her painting and her life. |
